Holly Fulton |
Holly Fulton started her career with a foundation course in Art, from which she progressed onto a Fashion Degree at Edinburgh College of Art. After her course she found work teaching and working in antique jewellery something that would inspire her later work. She then went on to do an MA Womenswear Degree at the Royal College of Art in London. Here she was able to develop her signature style and access different materials and techniques. She graduated in 2007. Holly then worked as an accessories designer for Lanvin which helped to further her design aesthetic.

Hollys designs comprise sharp silhouettes, graphic prints and alternative materials such as perspex. She has a love of Geometry and luxurious texture which is evident in her collections.

Her early collections were inspired by the Art Deco New York architecture and the artist Eduardo Paolozzi Wittgenstein, as the accuracy and detail within his work and Art Deco appealed to her style.

The influence of Paolozzi's work in Holly Fultons early work can be seen in the bright colours and abstract motifs. The Art Deco influence is evident in the sharp accurate perspect embellishments .
SPRING SUMMER 2011 COLLECTION
Holly Fulton produced a sophisticated but playful collection, with her eye for detail ever present. Laser cut patterned skirts, Egyptian style prints and covetable accessories and jewellery. The silhouettes were clean and feminine with slimline maxi dresses and flared mini skirts.

OTHER VENTURES
Holly Fulton's detailed designs has seen her work gain recognition with the fashion press and the industry as a whole has been keeping an eye on her talent. Due to the appeal of her print work and illustrations the luxury british stationary brand Smythson of Bond street have collaborated with her to produce a unique line of notebooks.Holly Fulton is a growing force in the world of fashion, with her inspiring prints and understated glamour hers is a name that is making its mark.
